HAMMOND, Ind. - Purdue University Calumet volleyball coach Natalie Shadowen added another member to her 2012 recruiting class, as Calumet High School graduate LaTiana Harris agreed to continue her playing career with the Peregrines.

"LaTiana is a tremendous outside hitter," said Shadowen. "She will help rack up the kills by finding holes in the defense across the net."

The 5-foot-6 outside hitter comes to Purdue Calumet via Grace College, where she spent the 2011 season as a redshirt. She was a four-year letterwinner at Calumet and garnered Times All-Area honors in 2009 and 2010.

Harris, the daughter of Inita and Tony Harris, was a member of Academic Honor Roll at Calumet and a Dean's List student at Grace. She plans to major in psychology at Purdue Calumet.
