HAMMOND, Ind. - The Purdue University Calumet men's soccer program landed another standout from Saudi Arabia, as Ahmed Alajmi committed to the Peregrines. Alajmi becomes the 23rd commitment for the Black and Gold's 2012 recruiting class.

"Ahmed is a natural fit for our system," said PUC head coach James Drzwiecki. "Just like Hassan Al-Salem, Ahmed is a natural when it comes to playing quick, one-touch soccer, and his off-the-ball movement is very good. He's versatile enough to play in the midfield or attack out of the back."

The 5-foot-8 midfielder played club soccer for the Al Khaleej youth team with current teammate Hassan Al-Salem, helping the squad to three Saudi Arabia Eastern Province titles. He is the son of Kadim and Anisah Alajmi and is currently enrolled at Purdue Calumet as an electerical engineering major.
